The weirdest thing is happening when im trying to set up an intercom between 2 phones....

its not working

1st phone key 2 dig 7 2 V phone type 3904 working .....
2nd phone key 14 dig 7 3 V phone type 2616 not working get busy

the wierd thing is that it works from another location...just not this location
on trial location was dig 7 1 V phone type 2616.

i already reprogrammed the phone changed tns and tried another 2616

anything im missing here..................................thanks

did you set in LD 15 FTR_DATA in OPT HVA?

It works in other locations already just not this particular situation, so I assume this is programmed already..

I tried 4 and no go....seems isolated on one location

How do I create an intiial DIG? I tried programming a 3904/3903 phone set, but after I type the following I get an error message;

KEY 8 DIG 1 (ERRORS HERE).

What do I need to do first?

do a DNB on whatever digit you're trying to assign as the member number. It's probably conflicting with something.

We have an option 61 and MM 13. I tried to create a DIG group, but on our 3903 and 3904 several keys were not supported and others were reserved for other uses. I had no keys avaiable on which to create a DIG. Am I missing something?

if you print the error we can better help you. You're not missing anything but the digit you are trying to assign as the intercom member may conflict with something already programmed in your dialing plan. you should be able to program an intercom on key 8 on an M3904 and on an M2616.

icm's are not part of your numbering plan..ever, not even a spree code. my largest switch has 6000 stations and 100's of icm in use. because you direct access an icm key the number only has to be unique to that dig group

My SPRE is 1 and I cannot assign 1 as an intercom member number. As a group number I can but not as a member number.

the only program you need is 15, gate opener ftr prompt dgrp to sick the number of groups allowed. if i have a icm stat 1, you can't have 10,11 etc. in ld 20
prt
dig
you'll see a conflict within you dig

In my CDB I can have 100 intercom groups. When I tried to change my intercom member number I get the below:
ITEM KEY 2 DIG 3 19 SCH0914
KEY ****

SCH0914
Conflict between DIG member number and special prefix DN.

Isn't the special prefix DN the SPRE code?

prt dig 3 please. my spree is 1111 and i just changed my icm to 11

NTP says an intercom cannot be assigned a member number that conflicts with the SPRE code. In the case of double-digit DIG values, the first digit cannot be the same as the SPRE code.

here one from this 91

you are right, if my spree was one i might see a conflict, my spree is 1111. not enouth numbers in the world to waste a thousand on a spree code. (we have 434-0000 thru 9999 for did numbers, and we are still on a 4 digit dial plan. i writing the scripts now to change that. johnP
