Intercom for Individual extensions

Hello, I am trying to get used to Avaya's short codes so sorry for all the questions. I would like to put a soft key on everyones phone to page a person's intercom. I would like to hit a soft key then the persons extension to page them. I put the following codes in the action field (#,Nxxx,?,xxx) and when you hit the button it just gives a tone.

You can make internal auto answer answer external call aswell.

Create a short code on the user

Code: *DCP

Telephone Number: 0,0,2,2

Feature: CW

Hey presto, it will no auto answer external calls in the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dial direct thing does not work in V4.0.10

Not tried any other versions.

I have read the description and it should work as Kwing says.

There must be a bug here.

I have also tried it by a shortcode, same thing. The ext just rings.

I have not used 4.0.10. I will have to try it. I know 4.0.7 it was working. I am sorry if it does not work. I wont be using 4.0.10 if it does not work. we use it on almost every system.

On my in house system we are running 4.0.10. I have a shortcode 3xxx/dial direct/N. So if you dial 3+207 you get me on intercom. Voice announce, mike open like everyone wants. I also have user keys on my phone. If I press 3+ any user key, it goes to Voice announce intercom. Works great and it is as close as I can get to the way Panasonic DBS used to work. As much as I love the IPO and can't stand to work on DBS's any more. The Panasonic had the IPO beat when it comes to BLF/Intercom/coverage all on one button. To me, this is the single biggest downside to the IPO. To have to use multiple buttons to accomplish these 3 things is a joke.

Ronromano, that is exactly what I am up against. I am preaching a IP over a Panasonic and everone misses their "universal" buttons. I will try your shortcode.

It works for me on 4.0(7). Just tried it! Works great!

The automatic intercom was the feature you wanted to use back before 3.2. Now the only thing I have found that works similar is direct dial under advanced options not emulation. I have not checked if it still works in 4.0.10.

Hmmm, i cant make that work.

It just rings the ext.

Oh well, dial paging would do the same thing so thatll work for me without having to worry about it any more.
