I have the Elecra Elite 48. It had an intercom before but then the system was relocated to a new office and i'm left with reconecting the itercom back. Just not sure how to go about doing it.
It's an original Nec 2-wire Intercom.

Thanks in advance !

what do you mean by intercom (paging)?

door bell that's connected to the phone system. so when someone presses the botton, the phone rings and then you're able to talk over the phone (and the intercom/door bell)

You would need to look in the system and locate the DPH card. The Door Phone would connect to the first pair of the slot that the DPH card is in. After this you would need to make sure the card is assigned in CMND 7-1, then make sure that the phones you would like the door phone to ring on are setup in CMDS 4-03 and 4-04. repost with some more info and I will try to help

Thanks For your reply...I've found the DHP Card... but would need more info on going through with connecting/programing..

if you have the time you can email me to aliksjunk(at)gmail(dot)com

Thanks Again!

First thing to do is locate where you would connect the door phone. The elite 48 has 2 tails, the first tail has the built in 8 digital station ports on it and KSU slots 3 & 4. Tail 2 has slots 5 & 6. Each slot uses 8 pairs so if you had a door phone card in slot 4 you would find it on tail 1 pairs 17-20. Once you have cross connected the door phone try it and let us know if it works or not. Hopefully the prgramming is still in it from before it was moved.

Pairs 15-20 checked
on 17-20 I do get the power on the intercom(the red light is on), but no action...I guess it's not programed in anymore...
is there a way i can fix that ?

what software i should use to set this up ???

7-1 make sure you have a door phone assigned.
1-7-00 make sure LK1 is lit.
4-03- day mode make sure LK1 is lit for all phones you want it to ring on. (the first 2 digits are the port numbers).
4-04- night mode make sure LK1 is lit for all phones you want it to ring on. (the first 2 digits are the port numbers).
The rest of the programming related to the door phone is for how long you want it to ring and what kind of ringing you want it to sound.

Thanks for the reply, but i would need more info on the software i should use and a step by step would help

Thanks Again !

The software is SAT and dealer list price is under $40. The software has a wizard that will assist you in programming. purchase it from you local authorized nec dealer.
