Intercom all Phones

I have a univerisity that would like to be able to do an announcement over their phones in case of emergency.

1. What is the maximum allowed for Intercom Groups

2. What is the best way to implement something like this

3. I am thinking of something like a page all over the phone system that would be able to key up all the phones at once? is this possible?

Tobin: intercom groups are NOT basically a page all function. You can only call one person at a time in an intercom group.

You can use the intercom group to intercom whoever is in that group....

or are you saying that only one person can be in each group?

Intercom Groups can only have Voice Call if there are no Analog phones in the Group.

Ring Intercom Groups will ring until someone answers each one.


You can only have 99 phones in the group if you are using a SPRE CODE and 100 if your not using a SPRE CODE.

You could cheat and make every phone have an auto answer DN key and call/group call that DN. Its messy.
