I have CM6.3 and 1 port network with an IPSI A and B. IPSI A is active and I need to move its network cable to a different switch. Would I "get force ipser A or B" to make the A standby? Will this be service affecting?

Thanks

Not get forced- ... that is for ESS control.

Do this: "list ips"
Verify which one is active and which is not.
Then do "set ips 1b" or "set ips 1a" to switch the active IPSI. You need to give it time between interchanges (say 10 minutes? maybe less) otherwise it will abort the switch as the anti thrashing timer must expire.

Also, it shouldn't be service affecting. I still wouldn't do it in the middle of the day though unless there was some really good reason.

Thanks Randy. That's what I needed. Gave you some pink love for it!
