Interbase 6.5 Installation Problem

Hi All, I have installed interbase 6.5 on windows 2003, and a client on XP.. Unfortunately, I cant connect to the database file on the server from XP, even when I use
the database desktop.. I' wondering if I upgrade to
Interbase Ver 7.1, will it a safer and trouble free install.. Thanks

6.5 isn't certified on Win2003...

It might have something to do with "system restore" or whatever it's called.

What's the error message you're getting?

Is interbase 7.1 certified to run
under 2003 Server..

And yes, 7.1 is certified for Win2003 - check the Borland site.
