Has any one set up SIP Trunks from Intellicom.ie they are an Irish SIP trunk provider in Ireland. They authenticate by IP. I am struggling to get this to work on a IP500 V1 8.1(69) Any help would be appreciated. I can post the account details here if it would help.

IP authentication uses the IPaddress/proxie settings and URI settings and that is it.
It is possible that the IP address in the ARS is different than the IP address/proxie.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

This is what they sent me

MediaGate1 is our Soft Switch cluster on which you have been provisioned. Below are the technical details required to configure your account:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Security/Firewall Information:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Please ensure you allow port 5060 (tcp/udp) and 10000-20000 (upd) through your firewall to your PBX / Switch for the following IP addresses:

Intellicom NWBP: 89.191.34.20

Intellicom CIX: 84.39.232.101 - 84.39.232.103

--------------------------------------------------------------

Account Information:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Account Number: $$$$$$$$$$$$$ (I have mask this out)

Secret/Password: $$$$$$$$$$$$ (I have mask this out)

Authentication: IP Authentication (Unless otherwise agreed)

Protocol: sip

DTMF Mode: rfc2833

Codecs: ulaw, alaw, g729 (in the order of preferences)

Server IP: 84.39.232.101

(Please ensure you communicate with this IP address for outbound traffic.)

So they gave you 10k to 20k for RTP traffic it seems, you'll probably want to adjust your rtp range in the IPO to match that.

Put 84.39.232.101 as your ITSP domain name on the sip line.
Make a SIP credentials with the authentication name and password they provided, registration required checked.
go to sip uri, make a uri with either use internal data for uri/contact/display, or * for local uri (if you have many DID's, this helps), and point it to the registration you made.

There are other things you'll need to do like probably run STUN and what not...but that should be easy.
