Integrating eBack with UPS WorldShip

Currently our shipping process is far too time consuming and represents a significant bottle neck. We have to hand type the tracking number into eBack and we weigh every package. With other systems I have used, the shipping process was very simple and the interface with the shipping system was seamless. Is there a way to have this done in eBack without using ClipperShip?

Feedback is very much appreciated!

Thank you!

We use eFrontOffice and have UPS integrated with eFrontOffice. We used the software UPS supplied for us. We created tables that contains that UPS rates etc. In the UPS shipping software in out shipping department we created ODBC to our software and linked up tables. The shipping software will therefore populate everything from the sales order. The next morning (before posting shipments), I will import the ups tracking file into custom tables that I created in eBO and run a stored procedure that updates the tables from the backend with the tracking number. Then our accounting department posts prior days shipments.

Ask to get from UPS the rss_developer kit. They give it to you for free since you use their software. That will make it possible for you to integrate your software with theirs. Has everything you'd need and UPS is very helpful to get this going for you.
