I want to integrate a Crystal Report into an Oracle application the same way it can be done with many other development envirements like vb.net, java.,or with a com object. As a result a can run a report from within my Oracle application and view the results.
Is this a fat client application (residing locally on a PC) or a thin-client application (residing on a server and being accessed from a user's PC via a browser?
CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
I have two solutions in mind, one works only with thin clients and one works only with fat clients. I don't think the question is irrelevant, but it sounds like you know more about this than I do... )
Cheers,

What I mean with "irrelevant" is that Crystal has options for both thin and thick clients. It is largely depending on the options Oracle is offering (which I dont know anything about, hence my problem) which route to take on the Crystal side of things.
Hi,
Ask one of your experienced Oracle developers about using a 'call' to the crystal report object as part of an Oracle Forms based app.( usually a menu item, but can be more complicated, depending on the need to pass parameters and logon info to the Crystal report).
If you have no experienced Oracle developers, then you need to get some formal training - it ( Oracle) is not a 'learn as you go' system.
