Subject says it all.
I have an old Merlin PBX that I need to integrate into a Cisco voice system.
The Cisco understands PRI and CAS(T1), but can not talk with the proprietary DMI MOS or DMI BOS signaling of the Merlin. Other than POTS, what interface options are available for a T1 connection between the Merlin and the Cisco gateway?

Thanks

P

Both T1 (CAS) and PRI are supported on the Merlin using 5ESS or DMSXXX settings. Make sure the clocking is being provided by the cisco switch

MERLIN PROBABLY WON'T COMMUNICATE WITH CISCO VIA PRI. YOU CAN NETWORK CISCO TO MERLIN USING E&M TRUNKING, BUT THERE WILL BE NO SWITCH LEVEL INTEGRATION. IN SOME COMPLICATED WAY YOU MAY GET A COVERAGE TYPE CALL TO WIND UP AT THE SISCO, BUT IT WON'T BE EASY NOR PRETTY.
