We are migrating from Lotus Notes to Exchange 2K and I am implementing Instant Messenger with Exchange 2K. The tricky part is that all of the 2K accounts are disabled and Exchange accounts are authenticating through a NT 4.0 domain. The 2K accounts are set to point to the NT 4.0 accounts as an associated external account. Users are able to access their E-Mail fine, but while testing I have found there is no way to access IM through the disabled account. I have tried to add the NT account as full access in the security of the 2K account, but this does not work either. I am in desperate need of suggestions...

Thanks,

I would have used ADMT to migrate the NT account before the migration.

Can you get rid of the NT4 domain? Dan

I wish we could. We currently have 22,000 NT accounts. These accounts are used for various applications and are synchronized with the Novell accounts. I know this is not an ideal situation. I have tried everything...

Thanks for the reply.
