Help! I am new at this. I tried to install WMP54G unde WIN ME on a 7 year old PC (Acer, AMD, 128MB). At boot time the computer says that either the wireless card is not functioning or i may have to re-install the driver. Under device driver for the wireless card it says the driver for this device is not functioning properly (Code 10). Any suggestions? Thanks.

There are 3 PCI slots and I tried them all.

remove the current not working driver and reinstall the driver .

I have tried that several times. Here is the sequence - removed the device driver, shutdown, removed the card, rebooted, installed the driver, rebooted, shutdown, installed the card, rebooted, the system finds the new device and installs driver then asks to be restarted, restarted, error - device not working.

Isolate the problem . It could be the Computer or the Adapter . The best way is to install the adapter on another OS . Preferably another type of OS winXp or Win2k perhaps. The hardware errors that jump from code 10 to code 10 or code 2 upon every installation usually is a dud when reinstalled a couple of times.
