Hey, im trying to install 2000 pro, im currently running XP. When i go to install it wont let me because im running a more current version of windows. Is there any way i can do this?
Thanks

. If the filestore is FAT32
Boot with a Win98 diskette.
fdisk /FIXMBR c:
sys c:

Now boot to the hard disk drive and remove the \winnt, pagefile.sys, \Documents and Settings and other XP folders. Install Win2k

Actually the easiest thing to do would be to boot from the CD, Format your C drive and install W2K. This is a clean install so you will lose every programs/documents currently installed on you computer. There’s not much that you can do for the programs, but if there is documents that you wish to keep, backed them up on CD/DVD or diskette.

One other thing worth trying:
. Boot into Safe Mode
. Start, Run, %windir%\system32\osuninst.exe
