Hi

I have a machine with Win2k as OS and also two partitions. How do I install Win98 and make it into a dual boot system?

Thanks

Well, You can install Win98 on to ur machine along with Win2K as dual boot as long as ur primary partition is not NTFS(and the partition where Win98 system files reside).

To install Win98 on a Win2K Machine, boot thru the Win98 Startup Floppy or CDROM and run the setup.

After rebooting, u must be able to select either of the two Operating Systems.

I'd use a third party boot manager & tool to hide existing win2k partition while you install win98 (so that win98 puts its boot sector on its own partition & o/s are independent). has these tools (free for personal use).

Note: The second partition for win98 needs to be a primary (not extended) partition.
