I have windows 2003 server installed on my laptop on the c: partition. I would like to install windows 2000 server on the d: partition to test applications in both environments.

When I try to install from the win2000 server CD, it automatically disables the setup since it detects a newer version of windows.

How can I get around this?

thanks,

GO TO BIOS MENU.SELECT FIRST BOOT DEVICE AS CD ROM.SAVE& EXIT.I WILL ASSUME YOU HAVE THE SERVER CD ROM IN THE TRAY AND MAKE SURE THE CD IS BOOTABLE.WHEN THE MACHINE BOOT IT WILL ASK YOU TO PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD.FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION FROM THERE.HOPE THE BEST.AFTER THE SET UP COMPLETE YOU HAVE TO SET THE BIOS MENU AGAIN TO FIRST BOOT DEVICE AS IDE.
