Hello all. Is there a way to complete a silent install with the package and deploy wizard where it does not prompt the user for anything like rebooting etc. When installing a VB 6 application the install program keeps wanting to reboot with the install of the VB 6 DLLs. Thanks all

When VB6 or a portion thereof is installed, it potentially updates certain DLL’s that Microsoft considers operating system specific. Given this, I would expect the application to behave radically or even fail without the reboot.

Another option that comes to mind, although I have not tested this, place all the VB DLL’s into the application directory. In this way, you would be supplying the correct versions of the DLL’s but not changing the system DLL’s.

Just a thought
