Installing T1 DSU/CSU

I have a 3620 router with a NM 1E2W module. I try to install a T1 DSU/CSU card but the serial interface does not show up during boot up. I do see error stating "Unknown card has a unknown ID11" What does this mean? When i place a 1T-WIC it works fine. I don't think its the T1 card because I use 2 indentical cards still no luck. Does anybody have any information? Thanks

What version of software are you running. I think you have to have version 12.0 or higher for those cards in that router. I have a 3640 running the same config and I am using software version 12.0(7)XK1

Good point RadioX, my IOS is 11.1, thanks for the info.

I had the same problem with a 3640. After Updating the IOS to 12.0, I had the same problem. After doing a sh tech the Cisco tech said the hardware rev was the culprit. Exchanged and all OK. So if the IOS Update doesn't do it, check the Hardware rev

mgibson is right you will need to upgrade. I also have ran into this problem. The new image worked great....12.1 Jeter@LasVegas.com
