We're removing a 100 foot length of UTP and will replace it with 100 foot length of STP

The cable has nine wires (unlike 8 in the UTP) plus the shield of course.

Can someone please explain:
(1) The proper termination of the cable ends.
(2) Are there specific STP wall plates and jacks required
- My salesman sold us a couple of standard wall mount Keystone kits but somehow I doubt these will do.....
(3) Can UTP patch cable be used (from wall to PC)

Thanks

I believe the 9th wire is the ground wire.

The proper terminations would depend on what the cable is going to be used for.

Thanks for your response - Sorry for not explaining in more detail - the ninth wire we know is for power drain.
The application for now is a simple P2P with plans to install a dedicated Win2K server down the road.
