Installing SQL 2008

Starting over. Having trouble just trying to build it out so Goldmine will work with it. Any help would be great.

You do have GM 8.5 Premium Edition, right? Should work out of the box then.

Oops, just read George's post in the other thread. I don't know GM's current auth method, but just to be safe, choose Mixed, so that in case GM uses SQL logins, you'll be good to go.

Well, this is being placed on a used server pc. uninstalled SQL 2005, installed sql 2008. I guess I need to program sql first. Can't even set sql up.

What do you mean by "Can't even set sql up."? Are you still getting the authentication error from your last thread? Is the installation bombing?

Nope. that was on the old 05. This is for ground up 08.
