preparing system for Solaris Install

configuring disk (cod0) -create fdisk partition table -create solaris disk label -processing the alternative sector creating and checking UFS file system error: File system creation failed error: Could not check or create system critical file sytems error: system installtion failed

Everytime I get to the creating UFS file system I get these errors, what to do now ?????? Both the webstart and interactive doesnt work for me. Info Installing Solaris 7 AMD K6-2 333 128 RAM 1.5 GB

Thanks,

Check and make sure you dont have any SCSI mixups and how many devices are you using? Also did you format the disk (if it was a new disk)?

Solaris have two versions. Sparc based and Intel based. Your processor is AMD, not an Intel make.
So, the processor hardware logic will not match to start install_begin_script of Solaris.
Pl. try on any Intel processors.

That is wrong about Intel based the amd is intel base as well. I have a amd 166 running my Solaris 8 with no problems about the Architechture of the CPU. the error messeage he is getting is from the Hard disk per se: create system critical file sytems error
