Try upgrading each of those to 4.0. I'm not sure if it will run on RH70, but its worth a try. It should only take a few minutes.

ftp://ftp.rpm.org/pub/rpm/dist/rpm-4.0.x/

Probably not. I think thats just a GUI utility that searches the RPM database just as you would do with the commands you ran above.

rpm -ivh packagename.rpm

/sbin/ldconfig: warning: can't link /usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib//usr/lib/libc.so.1 to libc.so.1 (No such file or directory)

Does it matter what order I install them in? James Collins

Just download the RPMs from bgarlocks's link. You don't need the RPMs from the link I gave you now.

The order doesn't matter if you use the --nodeps switch with the rpm command.

Example...

rpm -Uvh pkg1.rpm --nodeps
rpm -Uvh pkg2.rpm --nodeps

Cool, so the ldconfig worked. Do the following...

updatedb
locate printconf-tui

Where did it put it? If its not in your PATH (which it should be), just create a symlink to it in /usr/sbin.

ChrisP

What exactly are you doing now? Did you create the symlink (symbolic link)? Are you sure the packages are installed?

rpm -qa | grep printconf

If so, then verify them...

rpm -V packagename

*don't put .rpm or the version, just the package name alone (rpm -V printconf). Do it for each one.
