Installing pri in the CS1K

Question for anyone , do you have to put the PRI card in the main cabinet of the CS1K or can you install them in the exspanision cabinet ????

The MC 32 S cards convert IP to TDM and vice versa. They have nothing to do with analog phones except when an analog phone calls from one media gateway to another or when an analog phone calls an IP phone. If you have a 96 port and a 32 port daughterboard on the MGC card then you have a non blocking system and you can get rid of those MC 32 S cards, You may not have daughterboards at all that is why they used the MC 32 S cards.

The MC32s cards can also register IP phones on Rel 5.5 if your sig server is down.

ok, thanks for all of your input will need to do some thinking on how to reconfig this system.

Move the MC32s card from 4-0-4 to 4-1-10. Install new PRI in 4-0-4.
