I am having trouble installing Outlook 98 on my NT server. I can get the initial aetup page and it appears to be doing something but then the window just closes with out any errors.

There is nothing in the event viewer too, I do not have office installed but was wondering does office need to be installed first? Is there any reason why this is happening? Any solutions or workarounds?

gracias

When I first setup up our NT Terminal Server, I found that there was a Win9x version of Outlook 98, and a WinNT version of Outlook 98. But the Win9x version complained when I tried to install it, it didn't just die on me.

To determine if it's your version of Outlook, or some sort of corruption on your NT box that's causing it, I'd recommend grabbing a copy of VMWare Server from (it's free) and then installing a fresh copy of NT Server into a virtual machine and trying Outlook on that. You'll at least know where your problem is.
