Installing on Intel Machine

Yes I have the Disk for Solaris 8, no it doesn't have very good Doc for installation on Intel. None of what the Doc have in it has worked for me.

Not sure what type of problem you're having. What disk are you refering
to? If your pc can boot off of the software #1 cd...use that, otherwise
use the dca boot diskette and install off of the software #1 cd.

This might sound basic, have you checked that the CD is Solaris for Intel and not Solaris for Sparc.
