I have a 3com 905c nic and SCO will not auto-detect it. It seems that it doesn't even try. Is there a way to force it to auto detect the card? It is in the list for the manual install but it asks for the bus and other stuff which I have no idea where I am supposed to find this info. What would be the best course of action???

Auto detecting is a bad idea. Most times it does not work.

Look to your system bios for the network card settings.
Bus
device
function

I think all you need to know is the device number (which should be the IRQ assigned to the card). Maybe someone else can confirm this.

in my case I used
Bus 0
device 14
function 0

Ok I will give it a try and let you know. Thanks!!!

I have recently installed 2 3C905CTXM cards on fresh installations of openserver. The drivers were not found on the first which was 5.0.5 and I had to download the latest 905 drivers but the drivers were already in 5.0.6. Both system work OK.
