Installing new sets 1

I have to install several sets in an existing Definity system where all the voice jacks are pre-wired to system ports and the programming is done remotely. When I plug a digital set into the jack and it comes up with an extension number that used to be in use, is there a way to program the new extension at the set (move ports)?

sure..you need to dial the TTI seperate code followed by the password and then the extension it currently is. then dial the merge code plus password and the new extension.
this assumes the new extension is already in a X-Port status.
this also assumes TTI is enabled.

It also assumes the set plugged in is wired to the proper type of port and card that supports the set.
i.e. 2-w dcp, 4-w dcp, 2-w analog, 2-w bri, 4-w bri, etc.

that's a big 'Star' for you Mr. Hamilton. I'm sure there are plenty of 7400 sets still out there in use.
*wonders to self if the large GM warehouse near Boston still has a Sys 75*

You don't have to have system 75 to support 4-w dcp circuit packs and sets. And yes, there are still a few s75 and g3rv4 and lower with tapes, still kicking.
