I have downloaded the SQL Runtime, Standard Engine, 4gl compiler and RDS tools from IBM and I need to install these tools on a new Linux system. I have never done this before and I am having trouble finding documentation from IBM on the procedures to install the database engine and all the tool. Does anyone have any documentation and or tips on how to install these products?

Thanks

Mike Haith

By the way, I am using Linux 7.2 and SE 7.25.UC5, SQL Runtime 7.31, 4 GL complier 7.31, and RDS 7.31.

Hallo Mike!
Bye the way, where did you obtain the Informix SE 7.25.UC5 - Engine for linux 2.4 ?!?
I find it quite hard to find it on the ibm - pages....

Many thanxx

HI,
Always remember the rule in installing the IDS + 4GL + Runtime. Use "TEN" which means, tools (4GL+runtime), Engine(IDS),Network(onsoctcp, onipcshm).
