Installing IIS and Cognos Products on Different Machines

Hi,

I have to Intall IIS and Cognos Products in seperate machines.Please let me know do I need to install any Cognos software in the machine where I am instsalling IIS.

In the Cognos doc, I have read that the Webserver and Gateway to be installed in a single machine.

Which software of Cognos installs this Gateway.?

All Cognos web products will have a component called the gateway. The gateway MUST reside on the IIS server for the products to work. These products include:

PowerPlay Enterprise Server
Upfront
Impromptu Web Reports
Cognos Query
Visualizer Web
ReportNet

to be able to install the gateway only in the IIS server.
Select custom installation from any Server installation media , and deselect everything except the Gateway service.
