no, but you should always back up the favorites and bookmarks before a version upgrade just in case of a glitch.

open Explorer and go to C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\ Favorites
and go to the C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Local settings\History
this will get you your current Favorites and History.
Copy the contents into any other folder.
Copy the contents back into location after your version upgrade.
