Installing GeForce FX5200 in HP Pavilion 6640c

Looking for help in installing video card into Pc. Have had a few people with moderate experience look at installing and have not been abe to disable onboard video card. Seems they are able to put card in and seems to work but they tell me that with the other card not disabled, the computer lags badly. The onboard video card seems to be connected to sound card as well?? I think I have found the board model(ASUS P55-VM 1.01)but do not have manual. If someone is able to point me in the right direction, or if I could provide you with more info that might help I will do so. Matt

Check in BIOS for a setting to disable the onboard video.

We have tried to do this but does not seem to be a clear way through the BIOS. I called the computer store that sold me the card and he said that he would have to see the manual to see what can be done on the motherboard. He didn't explain what they do to the motherboard but he also said it was easy to install and it would cost $30. So I brought it in to him and the story changed to undisclosed amount depending on amount of time it takes him to locate info on net. I have been unable to locate this info myself. I apreciate your response. I am just a little frustrated that I am unable to use a game that was bought for me (return to castle wolfenstien and Links Golf)I am going to look through the BIOS one more time to see if I am missing something.

There's no Asus P55-VM, but there is a P5S-VM.
Its manual says to reposition the VEN_DIS jumper in order to disable the onboard video adapter.
