Adding an expansion cabinet and need to install a GASM8. Thats the only card in cabinet. The documentation says to do a patch before installing card. Something about a firmware issue. Says to install patch 1.0 for this release BCM 3.7. Is this critical and needs to be done? I have searched Nortels site for a patch 1.0 but can't seam to find one. I found others, just not 1.0. Any ideas?

Installing GASM8

MSC Core 7.06 for 3.7 is the patch that addresses the GASM 8 module. There is also a patch for 3.6 (6.21), and a new core for the BCM 50 as well.
Apparently there is an issue with the modules not always booting up properly. I'd recommend installing it just to save any possible future issues.
