I have some TrueType fonts I purchased. I used them in some documents. When I upgraded to Windows XP, the association to these fonts was lost. How do I tell Office about these fonts.

Hi webrabbit,

The simplest method would be to reinstall them, via either the installer that came with them or the 'Fonts' applet in the Control Panel.

They didn't come with an installer.

Oh Windows XP at least, the FONTS in the control panel is not an Applet, but simply a shortcut to the FONTS folder known to the Office suite, which is otherwise rather hard to find. I just copied the fonts I wanted into that folder.

Thanks!

Hi webrabbit,
simply a shortcut to the FONTS folder
And when you click on the 'File' menu button, doesn't it show 'Install new font' or something similar?

Cheers
