Installing FireWall-1/VPN-1 NG in Linux

Hello, I got a question, I install the firewall on Linux RedHat 7.0, may I need upgrade the kernel for security or is stable

the supported Kernel versions for RH 7.0 are 2.2.16, 2.2.17 and 2.2.19 - my experience with 2.2.19 are that it is very stable. I had no problems with it.

I confirm that de LINUX Kernel 2.4.18-5 is very stable with Checkpoint FW NG FP3 ( but not with the FP2 !!! ).
It is 6 weeks that this is running, with high avaiability,without any problem.
