I am trying to install Cognos 8.4. I already have SQL Server 2005 up and running. I am also using Apache 2.2. I am using Windows XP, Service pack 3. The issue I am having is when I get to the Content Store piece of the Content Manager, Cognos is unable to find my database in SQL Server. I believe that SQL Server is using Windows Authentication to logon, which is why I chose "Microsoft SQL Server database (Windows Authentication)" for the Content Store in Cognos. I have attached a screen capture of my Content Store settings. When I try to test my Cognos connection, I am receiving the following errors: [ ERROR ] The database connection failed.
[ ERROR ] Content Manager is unable to access the content store. Verify your database connection parameters, and then contact your database administrator for assistance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
