Installing AIX from scratch on New pSeries 6E1

Hi Folks

The new pSeries 6E1 server arrived last week and I have connected all the hardware components, turned it on and nothing came on the screen.

So assuming this is the initial stage for AIX installation, do I just insert the first AIX CD and turn the machine on?

I have installed AIX many times on old machine but this is the first time I have ever installed on brand new machine that is virtually empty !

So am having little doubts and there isn't any manuals with the box to guide me. Searching on web has been a pain trying to find relevant documentation.

Has some information on installing AIX from scratch. Not sure how relevant it is, as I've never had to do it. No doubt others will be able to help further. Cheers.
