Installing a ringer

Is there a way to tie in a bell or ringer to a I/P port, or is there another piece of equipment I need to purchase.

If you mean the External O/P port on the back of a system, then no not really, it's just two contacts that can be closed with a code/button, it can't be used to alert a call is waitng or anything

You can twin a analog port with the IP station and attach a ringer to the analog port

Not familiar about twinning, can someone explain how to twin an analog port as suggested above

go on the user for the ip phoneset, user / Mobility /

check radio button for internal twinning, chose analog extension that is attached to ringer, save config.
