I am using X3, and when I try to import clip art from my Draw 7 disk, the images are incomplete. Can I install Draw 7 and keep X3 installed, or will it create problems?

I've been using Draw since version 3, and I like to keep all the clip art disks because they're sometimes different.

To my knowledge you are ok having several versions of Draw at the same time BUT normally the olsest version would have been installed first, I am not sure what would happen if an older version was installed AFTER the newer.

I have installed both X3 and v8, and everything works OK.

The main thing to ensure trouble free operation, seems to be to ensure you install each on a separate partition of your hard disc.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you. I do have an almost empty partition on my hard drive, so I'll install it there. If it blows up, I'll be back with more questions!

This is embarrassing - I was able to install Draw 7 on a second partition without problems. But – I didn’t need it. I didn’t realize the VIEW option in X3 had somehow been changed to Normal, and when I switched to Enhanced, the details were there.

So thanks, anyway. I think I’ll leave Version 7 installed. It was like slipping into a pair of old, comfortable shoes. Not so fancy, but much easier.

I called Corel about having 2 versions on my computer at the same time and they told me that it will work just fine and it does. I have Corel 10 and X3 on the same partition of my hard drive.
