This has me baffled a bit. Have a Nortel system with MICS 3.0. I had the startalk flash set-up so that if the call was no answered after 4 rings, then it would take over with CCR, etc. The Prime set for all lines are set to 230 (The startalks ext). This worked fine....until...installed a new Caller id card. I asked the company i purchased it from if i would need to reprogram the system, and they weren't sure but thought that I would. After installing the card, it worked fine and didn't appear to need any different programming but i didn't realize for quite some time that it changed how the startalk flash is answering. Keep in mind that in the MICs3.0 software each phone's Forward no answer is set to the startalk's extension so it goes to the specific voicemail set up for that phone. Here's the problem...now instead of the startalk taking over after 4 rings it simply transfers the call to the voicemail of extension 221 (which usually would be the prime set). I've gone over the programming time and time again and just can't seem to find anything set wrong. I didn't make any changes to the startalk system when i installed the caller id card.
Please, clue...

Originally before installing the Caller Id, i didn't have to have the starflash set to answer the lines. Trying what you explained does work...sort of. It works to ring the phones and then after several rings, the starflash does answer and do it's stuff. The sort of is that I set the number of rings to 4. It only rings 3 times and then answers. I then set the rings to 6 and it still answers after only 3 rings. Is there something else I need to do to get it to answer after the number of rings desired?

I have another issue you might be able to assist with. I am using a CCR and one of the paths is pressing "1" to leave a general message and I have the path pointing to extension 100 which should be the default general mailbox. The general mailbox appears to be enabled. However, when I test out the ccr and press 1 it eventually says that extension is not available.

Thanks for all your assistance so far!

Make the prime line = None instaed of Vmails DN and change any Transfer or DRT rings counts higher under Feature Settings.

100 is a Mailbox not a DN therefore you would have to mention to press *100 (if Retuirn to AA = Y in AA/Grt/

Under path 1 delete it and then make as a leave message to MB 100.
