installed hardware in not valid on this platform VCM Slot 2 5

I have purchased all new equipment from Catalyst telecom. IP 500 with a VCM32v2 card. The card shows up in Manager under the control unit tab. In system status under alarms/ configuration it has the "installed equipment is invalid for this platform VCM slot 2"alarm.
The red light on the VCM card stays red all the time. Catalyst sent me a new VCM 32 v2 card and it does the same thing. I have removed the other card in slot one and put the VCM card in slot one and the error moves the alarm to slot one. Catalyst then sent me a new control unit and the same thing is happening. Im running 9.1.600.153 software. They had me do a system reset via the button on back of control unit. That did not work. They had me format and recreate the SD card and that did not help.Any Ideas?

bad chassis,
you could upgrade to 9.1.9 and see if that helps but I guess it is just a lemon you got there

Sorry I missed that. OK I am getting old it seems.

So it happens with both cards and both chassis, try upgrading, maybe the files for the VCM2 are corrupted somehow.

If that doesn't help then the last possible fix exorcism

Are you running Basic mode or Standard? 'cause VCM card is not supported on Basic......

The system was in basic mode I had not entered my standard version license

basic mode is the second worst thing Avaya did with the IPO, right after the UCM.

As a follow up I purchased an R10 system. They sent me a R9.1 System with R10 licenses. The system was giving me an error when I tried to load the PLDS licenses. It came back with a general "error loading licenses" that popped up in Manager. That is why it was in basic mode. To fix the problem on loading licenses I had to format the SD card and reload it with R10 software. Then it accepted the PLDS licenses. Thanks for the help

Worst thing they did financially was move from licenced VCM channels to endpoints, it went from the best selling SMB system to struggling from that point onwards
