Hi..
i have a little problem to installed the documentaion of oracle 8i.

the installation applet doesnt came out to my screen either manual or auto run.

Does anyone know what have gone wrong with the pc...?

Is this a Windows machine, and is it a Pentium 4? If so, you need to search for and rename any files called symcjit.dll (rename them to symcjit.old or similar). If it isn't a Pentium 4, post back with more details/symptoms etc.

This also applies to XEON chips processors. The old installer sees it as a pentium 4 chip. Just ran into this today.

i just remember when i installed oracle8i the same problem occured thought that its just the installer...
