Installation of Netscape Directory Server for Cognos Enterprise failes

Hi,

I'm absolut beginner in directory services and I need your support!

I try to install Netscape Directory Server 4.1 on a W2K Server with Active Directory.
Installed Web Server is IIS.

Because of the running AD Server on port 389 I choose a new port for the Netscape Directory Server
During installation I the error message, that an error occured while executing index.exe

Any help ???

Cognos can also use a directory server which is already present. If you define a new namespace in ADS you can let access manager use that namespace. If you have series 7 this can be done easely in the configuration manager.

IIS is only used by cognos for the virtual directories used by Upfront.

Now I'm using Netscape Directory Server 4.2 and it works fine
