Was wondering if I can emulate programming from an Avaya Partner for auto line select to outside lines. Having problem with credit card as its programmed now. Will looose connection every few swipes. Checked to see if it was a certain line but it was not. Thanks in advance

Most common problem with Credit Card Machines is when they are configured for Line Detection. The threshold for voltage detection is usually higher than the voltage delivered by the Mitel.

Turning off Line detection via the Card Reader usually resolves the issue. The card reader will generally have a Merchant Number and 1800 number for support on the back.

If we don't take care of the customer, Maybe they'll stop bugging us.

Have not tried this as of yet. But is their a way on a mitel to access a line directly instead of having to dial a 9. Like on a partner system where you can auto line select directly to outside lines. Thanks

*19 and trunk number or if you want to use that trunk for the machine only use another access code and access the trunk out of a seperate trunk group.

Pandabear, the question was regarding automatic access to ARS not direct trunk select.

It's been 10 years since i worked on a SX50 so I cant remember if it has Direct to ARS or not.

Hopefully some other dinosaur can answer.

Their is no direct to ars on a SX-50. If they are dialing the same number all the time for the credit card you may be able to use Hot line to a Ring down circuit with the number programed in the abbreviated dial. You could try that if that would work for your application. In this case we would have to put the trunk in a seperate trk group along with some other programing. First off is this a viable option.

Thanks kwbMitel! The line detection worked. Called the credit card company and turned off detection and worked every time.
