Installation Error 1639

I am trying to install PT Complete Accounting 2007 on a Windows 2000 server, which has the latest SP and security updates. In the middle of the installation the program aborts and shows this error message: “Error 1639 -- Invalid command line argument”.

Any idea on how to solve this issue?

Try turning off your security, ie. firewall and anti-virus during the install

Thanks for the tip, but the problem turned to be related to MS Installer. I had to remove the Peachtree installation files, and then re-install Peachtree.

I used the windows installer cleanup utility. You can download it from
