Hi there,

I'm having trouble installing windows xp (upgrade version)
From a win98 startup diskett I run fdisk and created the following
partions:
C: FAT32 pri dos 5005
D: ext dos 14567

Then I installed win98 on drive c: everything is fine.
- Then I start installing windows xp with "new installation".
- everything fine in the beginning
- get the partion-list
- "to setup partion select item below."
- choosed c:
- "you choose to install on a partion that contains other operating system, press c to confirm"
- choosed c
- "do you want to leave file system intact ?"
- Yes
- "confirm to delete windows"
- Yes
- "Setup has determined that drive c is corrupted and cannot be repaired. setup cannot continue..."
- had to exit setup

- then I tried to install as an "upgrade" instead of "new installation"
- same thing happens

any ideas ?

thanks in advance

Try running FDISK /MBR
Other than that, you can have setup create the partitions instead of using FDISK.
Regards Please provide feedback, good or bad.
And I'm always open to new suggestions or ideas.
