Hi!
I've managed to install VB6 on W11 Arm from a Visual Studio CD - circa 1997- on an M3 Mac running Parallels Deskop 20.
Some of this is from vbforums.com, some of it is from FejLynTech on YT.
Step 1: Make a copy of your installation cd on the hard disk.
Step 2: Open the file Setupwiz in Notepad and modify the file: "VMPath=ie4/msjavx86.exe" to "VMPath=" (so, delete the ie4/msjavx86exe part from that line). Save.
Step 3: Copy the file setup/VS98ENT.STF and rename it to acmsetup.STF. (Note: this may be VS98PRO.STF, etc. depending on the edition)
Step 4: Now, copy the entire content of setup/ to the root folder of the copied CD. (the folder that has acmboot.exe file)
Step 5: Right click acmsetup.exe and set Compatibility mode to WinXP SP3
Step 6: Run the acmsetup.exe instead of setup (the one that’s on the same path as acmboot.exe)
Choose custom setup and uncheck everything you don't absolutely need.
Good luck!
