I am currently running SCO Unix OpenServer 5.05 and I have some old drivers that are no longer supported. When I try to install these drivers it reports that it does not recognize the version of SCO Unix. It may have recognized Rel 5.00, but it does not like 5.05.

Is there a way to get SCO to report a different version than it actually is? Kind of like MS-DOS's SERVER.EXE.

Thanks

Can you please tell me what kind of drivers are you talking about?

I am trying to install drivers for a Sun River 4-Port MultiConsole board (2 of them actually). They are (ISA) Bus Extension Serial Interface (BESI) boards.

I was not able to get a copy of drivers for SCO Unix OpenServer 5.0.5. This product (now an abandoned technology I'm told) had been sold off by Boundless Technologies (formerly Sun River) and was dropped by the new owner, Avnet. I even talked to Technical Support at both companies and it was a total dead-end.

I believe the drivers were originally for 3.2.4. Technically, I am running 3.2v5.0.5 which appears to be enough to dissatisfy the installation program.
