I need to install SNMP on 500 workstations and servers. Is there a way to install it via Group policy?

We are a Server 2003/XP SP2 enviorment

I don't know how to install it via GPO. If it is just disabled, you can enable it via GPO setting

In the Computer section of the GPO, Windows Settings > Security Settings > System Services > SNMP Service.

I can adjust the settings of the actual SNMP services via GPO like you said above...but I need to actually install the SNMP service on 500 workstations

I wonder if you could do it using software deployment GPOs. I don't know if there's an MSI for that component though.

No idea if there's other ways to install additional windows components from the windows setup without just running the XP setup with the options to have the components you want.

I have a couple of apps being installed via GPO. I don't think the SNMP service is available in an .msi that;s why I was thinking that it possibly could be installed vis script
