I am trying to setup SIP Trunking on my Avaya 412 5.0(8). I have purchased 5 SIP trunk licenses to test the connection before I buy more. I was able to install the SIP trunk license and configure a SIP Trunk line but when I try to configure a SIP extension I get "The number of non-Avaya IP extensions configured exceeds the number licensed." All the phones that I have on this 412 is Avaya so I can't seem to figure out what is non-Avaya. Is there a way for me to see what is considered non-Avaya on my box or is it possible I am configuring the SIP wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

sip trunks are to enable your existing phones to make calls via a sip provider (just like your pstn lines)
you do not need to create sip extns.
