We're putting together an install package for our application we've created for a client.
Clearly the application is reliant on the latest version of the .Net framework (3.5) being installed on the client machine.

How can this be installed in the installation program ('.msi' package) we're putting together?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

If you are creating the installer with vs2008 then by default it should be setup to install 3.5. To check right click on the setup project and select properties. There you should see the prerequisites button.

If you are not averted to using a 3rd party tool I have found that Advanced Installer from Caphyon Ltd makes an excellent MSI packager. Many options available depending on the flavor of license you buy.

I have intentionally not included a link and I am in no way affiliated with this company or their products.

If you want to know more, you can past their name in your search engine.

Hope that helps!

I forgot to mention that it allows you to specify prerequisits such as .Net Framework version, minimum RAM, resolution and OS and many other minimum system requirements.
