halo everybody,
im just a newbie in this oracle thing.. I want to know how to separate the oracle software and database in two different harddisks... is there an option in the Universal Installer?
please help..!

Hi.
The Installer asks for the destination of the software when you start your installation. After all software is installed you are able to create a database (or later using dbca), and you are asked for destination paths again. Just give different paths representing your differnet disks.
It is usual to use more than 1 disk for a database: redologs seperated from "normal" datafiles, archivelogs can be muliplexed to 10 different locations, controlfiles should be on at least 3 different disks,... Reasons are performance and safety.

Hi everyone,
I install Oracle 9i server in two machines in the same network. The OS are windows2000server(ServerA) and windows2003server(ServerB). Eventually, Server B is able to discover node Server A, but not the other way around. I have check server B, the OracleAgent is running and the network is up.
I really dont understand why it can not be discover automatically. I need this because I want to create events and jobs.

Could you please help me? I'm having headache thinking of this problem for days...!
